Eric Martineau's apple
Eric Martineau, green apple grower, farms 18 apple varieties on 18 hectares. His speciality ? Bertanne apple with its grey reinette of Canada appearance and its Golden shape, is an apple with vanilla and aniseed flavour. It is the perfect apple for tarte tatin !
Pick blueberries
Picking red berries at the farm is a great pleasure ! La Ferme des Bleuets is specialized in these delicious and good for sight little blue/black fruits ! You can also taste them already cooked in squash and in jam !
Homemade rillettes
Rabelais’ guilty pleasure, rillettes are traditionally made twice a year from pork cooked in fat.
Local butchers still prepare their “homemade rillettes” with love during 7 to 8 hours.
Appointment at Patrick Lehoux whose “rillettes de Bercé” are often awarded at the Grand Prix of the best artisanal rillettes in Sarthe.

You are going to love them ! For their authentic atmosphere and fresh products ! La Flèche market, second of the department with 200 exhibitors is on wednesday morning on place de la Libération on the Loir’s bank. You will find everything that you want : fruits, vegetables, flowers, handmade products, clothes and furniture !
