Before you set off, we recommend you try out an electric bike: it's a great way to keep your strength up, especially for a ride where there are plenty of gradients. No need to pedal uphill (or almost!), the bike does it all for you! To find out more, ask at the tourist office.

La Chartre-sur-le-Loir is home to a host of craftspeople, including ceramists, antique dealers and glassmakers. This is the perfect opportunity to see their meticulous work at close quarters and talk to those with a passion for their craft. Don't forget to climb the Tour Jeanne d'Arc, for a unique panorama of the Loir Valley.
From La Chartre-sur-le-Loir to Ruillé-sur-Loir, cycle along the narrow paths winding through the Chenin vineyards to reach the various estates. To refresh yourself and regain your strength, stop off for a glass of Jasnières, a dry, fruity white wine reputed to be one of the best dry whites in France. This is your chance to take home a souvenir: a good bottle!
This walk lasts half a day, but if you feel like it, you can continue on to Poncé-sur-le-Loir, and visit the château and its Italian garden.
